Shifting our perception of insects from pests to pals
Welcome to my blog! The idea behind this blog came from a simple realization: insects are everywhere, yet they’re often overlooked, and when people do notice them, they tend to be misunderstood or feared.
Insects' importance often goes unrecognized. They carry out essential ecological tasks every day, pollinating plants, recycling nutrients, supporting food webs, and more. Much of the natural world, including the parts we depend on, would not exist without them. Even when they are out of our sight, they are doing things that make life on Earth possible.

I am interested in how people learn to see insects, why discomfort and misunderstanding toward them is so common, and how education,
hands-on experiences, and community science efforts can help change that. Whether you’re already fascinated by insects or still a little uncomfortable around them, I encourage you to check out my blog and learn alongside me.
Bugs don't bug me, and they shouldn't bug you either!
